The Section sponsored one CPD this year:
Manitoba’s New Regulatory Cocktail: One Part Legislation, One Part Modernization, with a Generous Dash of Stakeholder Input (Presented by Mary M. McGunigal, Crown Counsel, Civil Legal Service, Manitoba Justice) - On April 1, 2014, the Liquor and Gaming Authority of Manitoba was established to bring regulation of liquor and gaming into a single organization. At the same time, new statutes and regulations governing liquor and gaming came into force. This is the first time the Province’s liquor laws were substantially overhauled since the 1950’s.
The Section also has a CPD on the new Social Security Tribunal scheduled for June 2014.
