The Labour and Employment Section did not conduct any of its own CPD sessions this past year. There were, however, sessions like the May 17, 2011 CPD on Accommodation in the Workplace that were presented by, and very applicable to, Labour and Employment Section members. Adrian Frost attended the National Section Meeting in Ottawa on November 27, 2010. Adrian is participating as the Manitoba representative on a National Section working group addressing the Canadian Bar Association's input into the Canada Industrial Relations Board's Regulatory Review Consultations. Jamie Jurzcak is participating as the Manitoba representative in a National working group that is compiling information and reference materials on labour/employment/safety and health implications arising out of epidemics like the recent H1N1 outbreak and the previous SARS outbreak. Ryan Savage continues to serve as the Section's Legislative Updates representative. CPD sessions are being planned for the Fall/Winter ‐ please stay tuned.
