This presentation is intended to provide an outline of the 'best practices' for due diligence that real property legal practitioners should embrace in order to achieve the best possible outcome for their clients in commercial transactions. We will demonstrate the common research tools used in real estate matters and how the results of due diligence searches are related to and relied upon by purchasers, lenders, and legal practitioners. The topic of due diligence is non-exhaustive, and this presentation is designed for both new and experienced lawyers.
